Grammarly is excited to offer a remote-first hybrid working model. Team members work primarily remotely in the United States, Canada, Ukraine, Germany, or Poland. Certain roles have specific location requirements to facilitate collaboration at a particular Grammarly hub.

All roles have an in-person component: Conditions permitting, teams meet 2–4 weeks every quarter at one of Grammarly’s hubs in San Francisco, Kyiv, New York, Vancouver, and Berlin, or in a workspace in Kraków. This flexible approach gives team members the best of both worlds: plenty of focus time along with in-person collaboration that fosters trust and unlocks creativity.

Grammarly team members in this role must be based in the United States or Canada, and they must be able to collaborate in person 4 weeks per quarter, traveling if necessary to the hub(s) where the team is based.

To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re seeking a Head of Grammarly Business Marketing to drive the marketing strategy for Grammarly Business. This person will define their function’s vision, develop a strategy, build a new category, drive execution, and create operational guidelines to ensure that Grammarly Business becomes a must-have productivity aid and part of a company’s tech stack. This function is instrumental in enabling Grammarly to achieve its revenue plan in both the short and long run. 

The Head of Grammarly Business Marketing will be responsible for ensuring awareness of targeted markets, building net new business pipelines, and hitting conversion KPIs, building expansion pipelines and conversions KPIs, and ensuring that segment-level capabilities are built to grow the business effectively and strategically. This person will be responsible for architecting journeys that take buyers from awareness to interest to paying customers. They will also be a key thought partner to their peers in marketing leadership (Product Marketing, Communications, Brand, Lifecycle) and sales leadership (Enterprise, Mid-market, SMB, BDR/SDR, Chat, Customer Success, Revenue Operations). 

The ideal candidate will have expertise in B2B Marketing and has a deep understanding of how content out-of-home, paid media, events, account based marketing, and BDR/sales marketing motions work.  They will have a strong command of marketing operations and use marketing automation technology to scale efficiently. They have created a B2B marketing function from the ground up and scaled it to a point where it represents a significant driver of revenue for the business. They understand and have experience marketing to business leadership across SMB, Commercial, and Enterprise, in the US and abroad.

Your impact

In this role, you will:

  • Develop breakthrough campaigns, bringing our new category to life.
  • Define and own the strategy, tactics, and performance reporting across the full business buyer journey to drive revenue growth via marketing activities.
  • Create segment-level strategies and engage at key moments during a customer’s journey with Grammarly to maximize near-term revenue and medium-term momentum.
  • Drive the marketing mix across digital and other online/offline channels to meet the pipeline needs for Grammarly Business.
  • Scale Grammarly Business’s marketing technology stack to improve reporting, targeting, automation, and insights capabilities.
  • Optimize the lead funnel and sales handoff, build an effective lead scoring system, report outcomes and drive improvements in partnership with analytics, marketing operations, revenue operations, and sales.  
  • Grow a high-performing team by developing, recruiting, training, and mentoring talent.
  • Manage external vendor partnerships focused on demand generation, content creation, marketing automation, and data enrichment to grow the efficacy and impact of the function over time.
We’re looking for someone who

  • Has 15+ years of professional experience, including significant stints with a proven track record in driving B2B demand from buyers in SMB and Fortune 5000 companies, at an industry-standard performance benchmark.
  • Demonstrates an intimate understanding of best practices in generating awareness, sustained interest, and demand from senior buyers.
  • Is hyper-focused on results and uses this “lens” daily to assess performance, guide their team, and make decisions.
  • Has a strong handle on marketing experiments, marketing metrics, and where they do and don’t apply.
  • Has a proven record of mentoring and leading diverse and distributed teams.
  • Shows a track record of influencing behavior from the frontline to the C-suite in an organization, including cross-functional leadership.
  • Has experience presenting to and engaging with C-level executives.

Grammarly takes a market-based approach to compensation, which means base pay may vary depending on your location. Our US and Canada locations are categorized into compensation zones based on each geographic region’s cost of labor index. Base pay may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The expected salary ranges for this position are outlined below by compensation zone and may be modified in the future. 

United States: 
Zone 1: $227K - $388K
Zone 2: $204K - $349K
Zone 3: 193K - $330K
Zone 4: $182K - $310K
