Northspyre is looking for a Head of Growth to join our fast-growing venture-backed startup team. The Head of Marketing will be responsible for building out and overseeing all aspects of digital and traditional marketing channels
As Head of Marketing, you will bring at least 8 years of marketing experience with a demonstrated track record of measurable success in marketing at fast-growing venture-backed companies. You are highly driven, strategic and a strong communicator. You will be critical in helping us reach our lofty goals—to drive huge growth over the next 12 months while developing a multi-year strategy. You will manage an existing team of 6 and work directly alongside our CEO, as a key member of the leadership team, driving growth through customer acquisition, retention marketing and brand awareness.
As leader of our Marketing Team, you’ll play a critical role in catalyzing growth for our products post our $25M Series B raise. You will ultimately be responsible for collaboration with company leadership, finance and other go-to-market functions; building, testing, and measuring marketing performance across a variety of channels; and managing a growing marketing team for a product that is an early category leader.
Must Haves
- You are an exceptional written communicator and in-person presenter. You have excelled in written communication in past roles and even in your academic career as a master at wordcraft and persuasive writing.
- You are an amazing relationship builder and a compelling storyteller. You feel comfortable speaking in front of small groups and broader audiences as an ambassador for Northspyre.
- You are highly emotionally intelligent, demonstrated by a keen ability to inspire, persuade and influence the opinions of others. You are able to easily contemplate scenarios by putting yourself in the shoes of others and do so preemptively.
- Motivated self-starter open to wearing many hats and able to abide by a try, test and learn model in a very fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Must be organized, extremely detail-oriented and great at multitasking.
- Education: BA/BS degree required - bonus for liberal arts majors that also have deep marketing professional experience.Â
- At least 8 years experience working at a B2B marketing agency or in an in-house B2B marketing role; startup for a fast-growing, venture backed SaaS or tech company.Â
- Experience leveraging data driven marketing to scale a company. You can identify and seize different growth opportunities and the various ways to meet them - you think in terms of LTV, ROI, E2E analysis.Â
- A sense of urgency in how you operate - every day matters mentality.Â
- Build dashboards for measuring and sharing results on business-critical KPIs related to growth (volume, CAC, retention, LTV/payback) and own achievement of weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPIs
- Experience working cross-functionally with sales, customer success, creatives, engineers, analysts and product managers
- A willingness and hands on attitude towards daily management of ads, email marketing, land pages and managing the funnel, and traditional marketing methods. You roll-up your sleeves and do what is necessary to produce results
- Lead optimization of the funnel and all the individual parts of the funnel.
- The ability to think strategically and develop comprehensive, data-driven marketing plans.
- The ability to synthesize complex ideas into actionable recommendations for senior executives
Nice To Haves
- Real estate development experience or exposure
- First-hand experience with copywriting and content marketing, and get excited about things like subject lines and calls to action (we do!)
- Experience with Google Analytics, HubSpot Marketing, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Facebook Ads and Google Ads a plusÂ
- First-hand experience with digital display and search ads (on networks like Google, Facebook, Linkedin and others), and you get excited about rapid experimentation around headlines, keywords and other factors that drive conversion.
- First-hand experience in traditional B2B marketing (events, collateral, and more)
- A hungry, infectious personality: we’re looking for someone determined and driven to win
- Contribute to messaging and marketing copy development as well as general content creation (digital, traditional and otherwise) while also helping to oversee a team of freelance content producers.
- Understanding of and proficiency with SEO and SEM
- Own, refine, and report on acquisition metrics such as ROAS, CAC, LTV and MQLs
A reasonable estimate of the total compensation range, including variable compensation, for this role’s listed level is currently $200k - $400k but may vary based on local market data by region and performance against targets. Role levels and salary ranges take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, interview performance, skills, experience, knowledge, training and education, certifications and licenses, market data and other business needs.
This role is also eligible for equity and benefits.
