As the Head of Growth Marketing, you will play a crucial role in driving Viam community growth, and will ensure that our marketing channels are robust and optimized to hit our ambitious revenue and developer community engagement targets. This is a unique opportunity to develop and scale a growth engine and make a true impact at a fast-moving start-up.
You will have ownership over key channels — including paid/performance, affiliates, referrals, SEO, website optimization, lifecycle/email campaigns, and more — with the goal of acquiring, nurturing, and converting quality leads. Collaboration across marketing, developer relations, product, and sales will be essential to identifying and implementing the right strategies and tactics for short- and long-term growth.
Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you’ll be a strategic leader for the marketing team, contributing to defining key metrics, building strategy, and resourcing the team over time.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and optimize performance, web, lifecycle, affiliate, SEO, and other channels to drive growth in B2D (business to developer) segments, while supporting sales/B2B motions.
- Develop a sustainable, scalable engine of growth levers to propel the company through its next stages.
- Coach and mentor teams across various growth marketing disciplines, including performance marketing, SEO, conversion rate optimization, and lifecycle marketing.
- Drive high-quality customer acquisition at a positive ROI across all segments.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance marketing data and technology capabilities.
- Understand and improve the marketing funnel to unlock additional growth opportunities, partnering with product, developer relations, and sales teams.
- Work with cross-functional teams to improve attribution, forecasting, and ROI reporting to leadership.
- Foster a culture of rapid experimentation, creativity, and innovation in growth strategies.
We are looking for someone with:
- 7+ years of experience in growth and digital marketing, including managing small teams.
- Strong understanding of SaaS business models and funnels, particularly those with self-serve engines.
- Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to distill insights and tell compelling stories.
- Experience building, scaling, and leveraging a portfolio of marketing channels and tactics across both B2B and B2C segments.
- Experience working at an early-stage start-up or similar fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with vendors, tools (bonus for Webflow, Hubspot, Salesforce), systems, and tactics across the evolving marketing landscape.
- Bias for action, with a strong curiosity and willingness to experiment.

The starting salary for this role is between $150,000-190,000/year. Your exact offer will vary based on a number of factors, including experience level, skillset, market location, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced or more senior than this job description as posted. In these situations, the updated salary range will be communicated to you as a candidate.
