We focus on categories where microbial innovations and microbiome-related products will disrupt and capture global market share in the coming years (e.g. oral care, skin care, infant health, etc.). We have built a strong foundation with breakthrough research and strong intellectual property, and believe there is a substantial opportunity to emerge as an innovative product line, backed by the most rigorous science.

The Head of Growth Marketing  will lead Seed’s efforts to CAC while growing scale, awareness, and perception of Seed as a Science-based, best-in-class product. You will oversee the optimization of current Acquisition efforts while expanding the breadth of the program into new channels and funnel types. You will collaborate closely with Brand, Integrated, Marketing, Growth Product, and Data to bring about an integrated, brand-forward Acquisition strategy built on the foundation of data-driven Growth Marketing. Starting with a team of three, you will grow the program through internal and external talent to support the program’s development.

Who you are:

  • 8+ years of Growth Marketing (5+ years as a leader) with experience in the health tech and/or CPG space, as well as successful, rapid-growth DTC businesses that are both brand and performance-focused and must comply with regulatory requirements
  • You have proven track record of being able to develop and oversee a highly efficient, large scale ($50M+) Acquisition program that optimizes for LTV, ROI, or ROAS
  • You have exceptional strategic thinking skills and are able to apply them to strategy development and prioritization
  • You have exceptional analytical skills that unlock performance-driving insights across channel, creative, and attribution disciplines
  • You are comfortable with a variety of attribution models (LTA, MTA, MMM) and know when and how to leverage them
  • You are an expert at any form of large scale media: Meta, Search, TV, etc
  • You are a highly effective communicator and collaborator, especially with Brand, and Integrated Marketing teams
  • You are an effective SEO strategist, able to develop a core program and drive its growth
  • You are willing to dive into the weeds and be a scrappy problem solver
  • You are highly creative and consistently find new ways to incorporate new ad channel features
  • You are an effective manager, able to recruit and develop talent to perform at the highest levels with a commitment to our ecosystem’s values and culture

What you’ll do: 

  • Drive down Seed’s CAC while growing scale, awareness, and perception as a Science-based, premium product
  • Oversee acquisition channel strategy, test and learning agenda, experiment quality & rigor, and learnings dissemination
  • Diversify channel mix, balancing marginal ROI across channels, prioritizing Meta, YouTube, Search, and TV
  • Collaborate with Data to develop attribution models, conduct lift experiments, optimize channel performance, improve test design and analysis, and develop new measurement methodologies
  • Establish & optimize audience-specific strategies that customize messaging, landing page, and funnel treatment based on attributes, propensity models, and uplift models across channels
  • Develop reliable Creative testing methodologies across digital channels in collaboration with Integrated marketing and Brand
  • Support the Go-to-Market efforts of new products and product bundles
  • Grow organic traffic through a focused & effective SEO content strategy
  • Build leverage through team growth and agency roster
  • Ensure necessary tracking (naming convention, URL parameters, etc) and tooling (bid/budget automation, liveramp, etc) is in place to support and optimize digital initiatives
  • Manage and develop a team while recruiting top talent to support 

Compensation:

The annual pay range for this full-time position is $200k+ with equity + benefits across all US locations (this position is 100% remote-US). Our pay ranges are guided by discipline, level and experience required. Within the range, individual pay may vary based on additional factors, including: your specific location, desired skills/ technical competency, relevant experience and advanced education/ training.
