Head of Horizontal Sales - Embedded Systems

Our embedded practice is built to provide technologically advanced solution across automotive, medical, aerospace, rai, industrial and high-tech sectors. We provide expertise in model-based system engineering, low level software, application layers using conventional and AI / ML based applications. We have credible capability to develop ASICs, electronics design and manufacturing to take the system through concept to design to qualification to manufacturing. This provides our customers a very unique offering and reduces risk. Our focus is to rapidly expand embedded systems and software practice across all the business verticals Cyient operates in. The embedded practice is looking for a rapid expansion, with over 30% YoY growth.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for Head of Horizontal Sales who will drive the growth of embedded system services across all the verticals and in all the geographies. The position will report to Global Head of Embedded Systems and will support account managers and sales team for driving growth in embedded sales. The key requirements for the position are:
  • Establish and lead a team of horizontal sales directors / managers across Nam, EMEA and APAC to drive growth in embedded sales
  • Drive sales across medical, automotive, aerospace, rail, industrial and semiconductors for embedded services
  • Drive sales across all the offerings under embedded systems - embedded SW development, V&V and testing, built to spec, obsolescence management, etc.
  • Promoting embedded services offering across all business verticals and work closely with account sales team
  • Lead governance of large deals in embedded system and work with operations, bid and corporate team
  • Establish and ensure compliance of processes for embedded sales
  • Take account ownership in driving sales where there is no coverage from business units
  • Responsibility of order intake, revenue, profitability of embedded sales
  • Work on strategy and prospective growth plans for driving over high double-digit growth in embedded sales
  • Actively support M&A in the domain
  • Location: The position will be based out of USA


Whom are we looking for:

Considering that embedded systems and SW is one of the key pillars of growth of the company, the position of Head of Sales is one of immense responsibility. We are looking for seasoned sales leader with enviable track record in growing embedded sales. He or she should have a flair for technology, deep knowledge and understanding of business and connect across the industry. Some of the key requirements are:
  • Successful experience in building and leading a 100 m$ practice in embedded system
  • Deep expertise in selling embedded system services at least in two of the business verticals, preferably in automotive and medical domains
  • Very good connect and knowledge of leadership across the customer base
  • Experience of leading a team of sales managers
  • Expertise in building sales processes, constructing large deals
  • Significant achievement in winning large deals (over 5m$ TCV)
  • Experience managing key customer relationships and closing strategic opportunities.
  • Successful experience hiring and onboarding sales representatives.
  • Demonstrated ability in all aspects of sales leadership.
  • Experience in driving M&A in the sector
  • Good knowledge of sales operation tools and processes
