Head of HR, Boulder, CO - This position is onsite in Boulder.

Job Overview: 
As the Operations and HR Lead at Ascend Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our growth and success by driving process improvements and people-centered planning for a staff of around 150 that is expected to grow significantly. You'll collaborate closely with department heads to align HR and operations strategies with our organizational goals, and lead initiatives to improve communication, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across the company. This is a highly rewarding role for an experienced HR and operations professional seeking opportunities for impact and partnership at all levels. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with leaders to drive process improvement initiatives to enhance communication, increase efficiency, and reduce costs. 
  • Collaborate with department heads to align HR and operations strategies with organizational goals, and support recruitment efforts for company growth and development. 
  • Support corporate communications, ensuring consistency in messaging and marketing efforts, and maintaining company branding across multiple media. 
  • Oversee HR administration for all employees and contractors, including onboarding, offboarding, and compliance with laws and regulations. 
  • Manage the annual review process, off-cycle role changes, and lead open enrollment and benefits administration. 
  • Support employee development and growth through career pathing, training, and other HR programs. 
  • Perform duties and administrative tasks in support of day-to-day business operations. 
  • Work with the finance department to administer payroll to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable rules and regulations with respect to employee pay and benefits 
  • Process visa applications and renewals for employees 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • 8+ years of experience in HR and operations, with a strong understanding of HR policies and procedures. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills. 
  • Demonstrated success with problem-solving and leveraging analytical skills for organizational success. 
  • Detail-oriented and tech-forward approach, with a focus on systemization and process improvement 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience supporting a fast paced and dynamic startup environment, ideally within a high growth SaaS company 
  • Maintain strong proficiency in MS Office and Paycor 
  • Ability to work in Boulder office three days per week minimum. 

 

Compensation: $95,000 - $115,000 in total compensation    

Negotiable based on qualifications and experience. Ascend highly values our employees and often pays above industry average.
