The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to assume the role of Head of Hybrid Cloud Management, with a strong emphasis on driving future data center innovation.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for shaping and executing our hybrid cloud strategy, overseeing SRE initiatives, and spearheading innovative approaches to data center operations. Key Responsibilities of the role include:

• Owning our end-to-end Hybrid Cloud Strategy, with an emphasis on advancing our compute, storage and network capabilities in hybrid cloud environments, ensuring scalability and performance optimization

• Driving compute, storage and network technology innovation within hybrid cloud and data center environments by evaluating and implementing emerging technology solutions which enhance efficiency and agility
• Implementing and championing SRE best practices to ensure the reliability and resilience of critical systems, emphasizing the intersection of infrastructure and software engineering
• Driving automation and monitoring solutions to enhance operational efficiency and proactively address issues
• Building and leading a high-performing team of cloud engineers, architects, SRE specialists, and infrastructure experts, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning
• Evaluating, selecting and working closely with vendors to implement state-of-the-art solutions in compute, storage and network technologies
• Driving the automation of operational tasks, leveraging infrastructure-as-code-principles, while ensuring robust security measures and compliance standards

• Implementing advanced monitoring and analytics solutions to optimize performance and developing continuous improvement strategies based on SRE and data-driven principles

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Deep technical expertise in software engineering principles with a focus on platform engineering concepts
• Proven experience in Engineering Leadership, showcasing the ability to manage global teams or operate within a distributed management model
• Exposure to on-prem and/or cloud platforms and the ability to manage and influence in a cross-functional environment
• Commercial acumen and a results-driven approach within a metrics-driven organization
• Experience in measuring the effectiveness of platforms and teams
• Effective decision-making skills with a focus on the mid to long term
• People development experience, including leading and growing a team
• Visionary thinking with a willingness to challenge the status quo
