Head of Institutional, APAC – Singapore
This is a great job for someone who has a proven track record in delivering against commercial sales and revenue targets coupled with Private & Public markets distribution experience.
A bit about the job:
This is a great opportunity for a well-rounded sales individual to join the APAC Institutional team, to work collaboratively and effectively, so that the APAC Institutional business can achieve growth in line with the business strategy. You will be responsible for business development for the institutional segment encompassing SWFs, central banks, pensions, consultants, endowments, and corporates in Asia Pacific. You will have the autonomy to oversee a business segment from beginning to end, including working closely with our investment/solutions team to create customised solutions. You will report directly to the Head of Asia Pacific and be part of the wider Distribution team that spans UK & Ireland, Europe, North America and Asia Pacific. Within the role your key responsibilities will be to proactively develop new and deepen existing relationships across target client channels, include through thought leadership, knowledge transfer and participation in marketing activities. As part of a collaborative effort with colleagues in Distribution, investment, and other key support functions, you will play a vital role in the business's growth strategy. Together with the Head of APAC, you will provide input into the sales and business plan and implement high-quality activities to achieve growth in net revenue and asset under management.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:

An existing network of relationships amongst the target client base, especially with contacts in Japan and China.

Proven track record in sales, entrepreneurial mindset and drive to deliver commercial results.

Deep understanding of key investor issues including detailed understanding of the investment and regulatory challenges facing APAC institutional investors

Excellent communication skills, English and Mandarin (written and spoken) is an essential requirement for this role. Japanese language skills will also be a huge advantage.

Ability to take executive responsibility for maintaining a high performance culture
