Head of Institutional Sales
Job Description
The Head of Institutional Sales is a client-facing professional who is accountable for the execution of "go-to-market" strategies that contribute to TIAA's recordkeeping services. This critical role is also responsible for leading efforts in retaining existing recordkeeping clients and leading the sales team that averages over 100 client wins annually. The Head of Institutional Sales also has responsibility to influence the strategy development and primary responsibility for sales execution for all not-for-profit segments.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Responsible for influencing the vision/strategy and managing the Institutional sales team.
- Implements sales strategies that further TIAA's agenda and drives enhanced revenue generation for the recordkeeping business. Delivers an optimized market mix relative to the core target not-for-profit markets and identifies the roadmap that will lead to achievement of the department's goals as well as the overall goals of the business.
- Creates and implements sales action plans that incorporate key actions that work to set KPI's for the business.
- Holds team members accountable for results while modeling desired behaviors; translates the vision into strategic business plans by institution or consulting firm.
- Builds a team which can deliver strong results; develops close successful partnerships with internal and external stakeholders; develops and maintains an active pipeline of internal and external talent.
- Accountable for client experience in regards to leveraging full enterprise offerings with all not-for-profit prospects / clients and working with the strategy team to build and deliver a comprehensive B2B strategy to achieve enhanced Institutional Retirement outcomes.
- Provides critical input to cross-functional partners including IT, Digital, and Marketing to ensure the SRK and multi-vendor services and platform enhancements improve participant enrollment, digital processes for Institutional clients and consultants, and drive improvements in client satisfaction.
- Oversees the operation of all Institutional sales and business development teams to ensure compliance with business ethics and related regulation.

Base Pay Range: $171,000/yr. - $285,000/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
