The ideal Head of Internal Audit for Kin + Carta will be part of the Assurance team that focuses on bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes within Kin + Carta. The role will play a key part in helping Kin + Carta’s Audit Committee to ensure that established financial, operational and compliance practices are adequate and operating effectively across K+C. The role will report to Head of Risk Management with reporting lines extending to Audit Committee of K+C.
Role responsibilities- Lead the risk management process, working with the business to ensure that risk registers are updated on a bi-annual basis, reflect up-to-date risks impacting that business and that appropriate mitigating actions have been identified
- Lead the performance of audit procedures in accordance with an established methodology, including identifying and defining issues, analysing evidence, documenting processes and procedures, providing recommendations, and following-up findings and recommendations.
- Lead specific audits or investigations on a needs basis as requested by the Kin + Carta’s CEO, CFO, Audit Committee or by Kin + Carta’s Board.
- Present reports and applicable policies to Kin + Carta’s Audit Committee to enable them to discharge their responsibilities and to be knowledgeable about the state of the K+C’s internal control environment and risk management processes.
- Monitor the status of audit actions by performing follow up with management to understand what mitigations that have been implemented and validate whether these are effective
- Engage to conduct research on new and emerging risks, as well as new rules, laws and regulations, as well as accounting standards, and assist in the preparation of documentation detailing the impact to K+C
- Share insights on new business developments, new system implementations and other strategic initiatives to ensure internal controls are considered and designed into the process, thus ensuring the likelihood of success.

- Strong Audit & Finance reporting experience as a certified CIA, CPA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent
- Experience in global accounting (IFRS), auditing, internal controls testing, and business analysis skills combined with good judgment and credibility.
- 5 years post-qualification experience in job functions including Internal Audit, Finance Controls and/or Business Consulting
- Demonstrated success leading global projects, strong project management skills.
- Good understanding of the linkage between business success and operational practices.
- Previous Big Four auditing experience or consultancy background in auditingÂ
