We are looking for a dynamic and results-focused Head of Leadership Recruiting to join our Talent Acquisition team and build a world-class search function. In this role, you will report directly to the Vice President of Talent Acquisition, and will be responsible for architecting and leading the executive and leadership recruiting function across the organization.  This role will play an integral role in identifying, assessing, and bringing executive and leadership talent to the organization.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and execute a talent acquisition advisory and search strategy with a focus on direct sourcing top decile and leadership talent, including SVP and VP-level executives.
  • Build strong relationships with C-Level and senior leaders at BILL to understand their talent needs and develop effective recruiting solutions.
  • Market and brand the new function internally across BILL to establish this new organization with executive leadership.
  •  Establish and cultivate a network of executive-level candidates with diverse backgrounds for current and future opportunities.  Create a strategy for long term engagement of leadership candidates.    
  • Partner with Talent Management and TA leadership for talent planning strategies and to identify which roles at BILL should be top decile (business critical).
  • Hire and lead a team of senior leadership recruiters, provide guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team members and the function are successful as the BILL continues to grow.  
  • Directly manage leadership searches, delivering market mapping, and insights to inform business hiring decisions.
  • Set team targets and design working patterns in line with functional objectives and success measures, monitor and enhance team performance utilizing data and insight. 
  • Design and negotiate compensation packages and close offers with executive and leadership candidates.
  • Represent the company at industry events and build a strong employer brand in the executive talent market.

We’d love to chat if you have:

  • 12+ years  in Talent Acquisition, specifically executive search gained either in-house or at an Executive Search firm.
  • 5+ Years of managing teams of Sr. Recruiters focused on hiring for executive and leadership positions.
  • Broad experience leading searches across multiple disciplines such as Sales and Technology.
  • Experience in architecting and scaling a new executive and leadership recruiting function.
  • Prior experience leading VP+ searches across multiple disciplines and technology roles required.
  • Expert technical knowledge of executive search including accessing top talent, understanding market dynamics and the ability to proactively identify and engage passive candidates. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

This role is based in California.

The estimated base salary range for this role is noted below for our office location in San Jose, CA. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in BILL’s bonus and equity plan. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.

$197,600—$247,500 USD
