At Fivetran we pride ourselves on being a great place to grow your career. We have an exciting opportunity to join our Global People Team as the Head of L&D and Talent. In this role you will be responsible for designing and implementing our global L&D and Talent programs that address the needs of the business and help our employees grow. You will also help shape and implement strategies that will help us develop and retain our high performing employees.
Our ideal candidate is someone who has experience designing and delivering highly-impactful L&D programs at fast growing tech companies. We are looking for someone who can think strategically, lead and execute with fine precision. We need someone who is highly organized, self-motivated and able to work both independently and with a team. This leader will have a small global team to help design and execute the learning & leadership development strategy. You must be adaptable to changing priorities, make strong collaborative relationships and have the courage to speak early and often to make a difference and drive performance, productivity and results.
Some of the key areas of focus will be to develop foundational leadership workshops for our managers, assess any skills gaps and develop training to fill those gaps, refresh our competencies, and own our Performance management strategy to continue to drive our high performance culture.
As the L&D leader at Fivetran, you will:
  • Partner with key business stakeholders to understand their priorities and design learning and development programs that support those objectives
  • Develop and own our leadership development strategy and training to accommodate both our first-time and more seasoned people leaders
  • Own our Onboarding strategy and delivery the best new hire experience by collaborating with Talent Acquisition, HR Operations and other organizations to ensure our new hires are set up for success from day one
  • Serve as the liaison for our current L&D vendors and draft proposals for new solutions, as needed
  • Leverage instructional design frameworks to assess and build learning programs
  • Review existing offerings and assess their effectiveness, alignment to strategy, and return on investment.
  • Engage, develop and lead the global L&D team

What you bring to the table:
  • Experience in a leadership role for learning and development at a fast paced growing technology company.
  • Track record of designing and implementing impactful programs involving multiple stakeholders
  • In-depth knowledge of leadership and organizational development best practices and the latest insights
  • Effective facilitation skills with ability to present information in a compelling and engaging way
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to design solutions in anticipation of the business needs
  • Ability to define and put metrics into place that help measure the effectiveness of various programs
  • Ability to influence others at all levels of the organization in order to get things done and achieve the best results
  • Comfortable managing ambiguity and being resourceful
  • Experience with multiple LMS
  • Have a growth mindset focused on unleashing potential and driving individual and business performance
  • Have a track record in understanding organizational needs as it relates to Learning & Development and creating and deploying programs and initiatives to meet these needs.
  • Understand the role of Talent Management and Succession Planning in preparing the enterprise to meet its strategic ambition.
  • Are forward-thinking, data-centric, and highly proactive in preparing our employees and learning frameworks to position Fivetran to remain competitive

Qualifications
Required:
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment
  • Experience leading a L&D and Talent team (global team is a plus)
  • Established track record for taking a consultative approach to designing and delivering innovative learning & talent programs with measurable business results that meet stakeholder needs

Preferred:
  • MBA or other advanced degree in training and development, human resources development, education, organizational psychology, or ore experience in lieu of education
  • 10+ years experience in Talent or L&D experience in the Technology industry
