Head of MANA Strategy and Technology

We are seeking an individual highly skilled in strategy development, strategy execution, and a deep understanding of market and competitor intelligence to take on the combined role of Head of Strategy and Technology. The Head of Strategy and Technology will be responsible for shaping the long-term vision, strategic priorities, and technological advancements that will propel our company to new heights.

This role will be a member of the MANA Executive Leadership team reporting directly to the Head of Market Area North America and is based in Plano, Texas

What you will do -

• Be responsible for defining MANA's long-term network strategy vision, driving long-term MANA technology position
• Leverage major Tier 1s to drive consolidated next gen technology (e.g. ORAN, ONAP, Next Gen 5G Core, etc.)
• Responsible for aligning long-term product roadmaps and commitments across MANA
• Responsible for harmonization of long-term requirements in MANA to guide the BA to develop best-in-class products with focused TTM
• End-to-end accountability, from insights to decision., connecting insights from leading markets, customers and partners in the broader eco-system, ensuring continuing market leadership
• Conduct scenario analysis to determine sensitivity of business plan to various headwinds and tailwinds
• Pressure-test Customer Unit and Domain business plans (planning assumption compliance, upside potential, risk assessment)
• Orchestrate and coordinate across Customer Units and Domains to arrive at Market Area business plan
• Automate business planning process
• Develop and maintain strong thought leadership collateral on a variety of topics (e.g. 5G / IoT use cases, best practices for 5G deployment, private networks and roadmap for digital transformation of enterprises, etc.)
• Construct Go to-Market strategy including business, commercial and operating model for new / emerging business opportunities
• Perform analysis of, evaluate, and recommend business opportunities based on new technologies applied to emerging needs from business, consumers and society
• Grow the team, the organizational culture and competence to enable our values and drive innovation, collaboration and excelling execution.

To be successful in the role you should have:

Technology: • RAN, transport, packet core, communication services, OSS & BSS product and portfolio knowledge• Strong wireless industry wide knowledge• Thought leader in ICT• Excellent ability in presenting relevant business and industry insights to drive the business forward• Deep knowledge of the technology flow including ability to span the industry to identify, evaluate and prepare new technologies.• Communicate, discuss, and align Ericsson's technology strategy and vision with customer CTO/CIO and their direct reports

Strategy:• Proven track record of applying innovative thinking, strategic analysis, tactical planning, and firm execution in a complex organization to address business needs in ambiguous environments• Experienced in implementing operational rigor and programs across organizations• Strong consultative and communication skills to build rapport in achieving necessary buy-in, keeping stakeholders informed, and executing on plan • Ability to motivate and align cross-functional, matrixed teams striving towards the same goal• Solid understanding of key competitor and ecosystem partner value propositions

Leadership: • Significant experience as a senior leader of complex global organizations in a multi-stakeholder environment, including the ability to lead senior leaders including technical experts and program leaders • Ability to advise the Ericsson Executive Team & Board on the MANA Ericsson Technology strategy• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills; solutions-oriented; able to balance short and long-term priorities. (strategic thinking)• Consistently delivering superior business results• Successful change leader, open to new ideas, accepts challenges and leads with curiosity and optimism; considers culture.• Engages and motivates employees, develop and secure talent; known for building high performing teams.• Superior communication skills• Demonstrate key leadership capabilities: Customer Focus, Master Strategy, Excelling Execution, Embracing Change, Courageous Leadership

Minimum experience and education requirements: • +10 years of relevant ICT experience including strong R&D, product management, and strategy experience• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. MBA or other master's degree preferred• Experience delivering projects on budget• Previous involvement with Startup(s) and Corporate Ventures is valued• Excellent presentation, public speaking and communication skills• Ability to travel more than 25%
