Job Summary:
This role will be part of the MUFG Americas' Market Risk Team and reports to the Head of Market Risk. The role will be responsible for the end-to-end market and counterparty credit risk reporting and data framework.
Major Responsibilities:
- Management of daily/weekly/monthly market and counterparty credit risk reporting and data processes
- Develop and execute the appropriate reporting and data control framework
- Liaise closely with Risk Managers to support and enhance processes
- Participate in audit and regulatory engagements relating to market and counterparty credit risk reporting and data processes
- Work with Risk Managers, Technology and Data Officers to build and support the market and counterparty credit risk reporting infrastructure
- Own and enhance policy and procedures relating to market and counterparty credit risk reporting and data processes
- Primary contact for market and counterparty credit risk reporting and data inquiries
- Lead the preparation of ad-hoc management reports
- Manage a team of 4 full-time employees
- Supports the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelors/Master's degree preferably in a technical or quantitative discipline
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in a risk management or trading role
- Good knowledge of market and counterparty credit risk
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team and develop/mentor talent
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, proficient with Excel and VBA
- Exceptional writing skills with the ability to synthesize complex concepts and translate into easy-to-understand language, and effectively present in text or slide format
- Strong ability to analyze and interpret data
- Diverse and wide range of skills, knowledge, and expertise
- Excellent communication skills, with ability to influence diverse stakeholders
- Strong quantitative and programming abilities (C, C++, C#, VBA, SQL, Java, etc.)
- Collaborative mindset with ability to work in partnership with other stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a complex environment with changing priorities
- Management experience
