The Head of Marketing is responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of the Bank's marketing and advertising initiatives. The Head of Marketing will play a vital role in the company's growth and will have responsibilities that range from creative influence, business strategy to community involvement. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Marketing primary responsibility is to generate revenue by increasing sales through successful marketing for the entire bank, using market research, pricing, product marketing, marketing communications and advertising.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the Bank's overall financial, branding and customer experience goals.
- Contribute to the development of the Bank's long-term vision and growth plans in collaboration with the Executive Team.
- Ensure the bank's messaging is distributed across channels and targets audiences to meet the Bank's financial objectives.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of the Bank's brand identity, ensuring consistency and alignment with organizational values.
- Implement strategies to enhance brand recognition and reputation within the communities served.
- Oversee the development and implementation of corporate communication strategies and activities aligned with the Bank's long-term strategies and goals, its brand, philanthropic initiatives, and corporate social responsibility that promotes the Bank's long-term strategies and goals; proactively enhances the image and leadership position of the Bank and its partners.
- Lead efforts to attract and retain customers through targeted marketing campaigns and promotions.
- Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
- Drive the marketing and digital marketing strategy, utilizing online channels and CRM to engage with current and prospective customers.
- Stay abreast of emerging marketing and digital marketing trends and technologies, implementing innovative solutions to enhance our online presence.
- Partners closely with other departments, including Marine Lending, Operations, IT and Finance to ensure alignment and integration of marketing strategies with broader business goals.
- Foster a collaborative culture that encourages the sharing of ideas and expertise.
- Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve maximum impact.
- Monitor and report on the ROI of marketing initiatives, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
- Oversee bank events aligned with marketing strategies.
- Manage marketing vendor relationships.
- Manage and develop the marketing team to support business initiatives and strategies.
Qualifications
SUPERVISORY SCOPE:
2 direct reports
INDEPENDENT ACTION:
Ability to work independently and exercise proper judgment on special projects and assigned duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced degree in marketing or business (MBA) is preferred
- A minimum 10 years of well- rounded marketing experience
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of different digital and traditional marketing channels.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Understanding of data architecture and hands on experience with data management and marketing automation tools.
- Ability to gather, integrate, and use data and behavioral analytics to develop and implement digital marketing strategies that meet or exceed expectations.
- Strong experience developing and managing SEO, SEM, and CRM.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
