BillionToOne's first product, UNITY, is the first and only non-invasive prenatal test that can directly screen an unborn baby and assess its risk for common and severe recessive gene disorders and chromosomal abnormalities, as well as fetal sex and fetal antigens, from a single tube of blood from the pregnant mother without paternal testing.

In 2023, BillionToOne launched two liquid biopsy products that will markedly improve oncology treatment and care. With Northstar Select™, clinicians will be able to select cancer therapies that will be most effective to each patient based on their individual genetic makeup. Northstar Response™ will enable clinicians to monitor a patient’s early response to these cancer therapies, by measuring minute changes in their ctDNA, which can reduce ineffective treatments and unwanted toxicity, lower costs, and substantially improve clinical outcomes.

BillionToOne is looking for a stellar Head of Marketing (Dir/Sr.Dir/VP level) to help the company grow to the next level. As the most senior individual in marketing, you will own all aspects of marketing (except product marketing/management) -- from growth and performance marketing to PR, you will be responsible for building and optimizing our growth playbooks for patients and clinicians leads, and over time driving transformational growth in the adoption of products. If you are an experienced marketer who is highly analytical and data-driven, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is fascinated by the potential of genetic testing, this is the perfect opportunity for you. This hybrid role can work 3 days/week at either our Menlo Park or Union City lab, and reports directly to the Chief Product Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead BillionToOne’s comprehensive marketing initiatives from strategy to execution to drive transformational growth
• Define and constantly improve growth metrics through rapid hypotheses testing, constant analysis, and campaign refinement
• Launch and refine new customer acquisition channels by working closely with the product, engineering, and brand marketing teams
• Lead the implementation of marketing analytics tools and infrastructure to analyze the impact of marketing initiatives and refine them based on the numbers
• Over time, build a world-class marketing team that will become an essential pillar of our company’s growth engine

Requirements:

• 7-10+ years of experience leading growth or digital marketing in a fast-paced startup environment. Deep expertise in growth marketing is a hard requirement for this role
• Proven track record of driving measurable growth 
• Deep experience across all customer acquisition and retention channels
• A hacker’s mentality. You are obsessed with finding new ways to drive growth. You are driven by first principles, not conventional wisdom. You love solving ambiguous problems through rapid hypotheses testing
• Highly analytical and data-driven. In-depth experience with up-to-date marketing analytics and tracking tools, and can implement them first-hand
• Excellent communication skills. Ability to take a complex genetic test and tell a compelling story that resonates well with different audiences
• Outstanding cross-functional leadership skills 
• Experience with holistic marketing functions including product and brand marketing, communications, creative, PR, etc.

At BillionToOne, we are proud to offer a combination of a (1) base pay range (actual amount offered is based experience and salary/equity options split that the candidate chooses) (2) generous equity options offering, on top of (3) industry leading company benefits (free healthcare options, 401k match, very generous fully paid parental leave etc.).

For this position, we offer a total compensation package range of $300,000-$350,000, including a base pay range of $200,000-$225,000 per year.
