Head of Marketing

About the Team:

Ledger’s Corporate team serves to maintain state-of-the-art infrastructure and support for scaling the company and providing an engaging work environment for our colleagues.  We partner closely with all of the company’s teams to ensure consistency of approach, efficiency, scalability, and coordination across our work efforts.  Corporate roles provide a unique vantage point to impact the company as a whole and the ability to positively influence all aspects of our vision.

The role: 

As our Head of Marketing, you’ll lead all things Marketing at Ledger.

You’ll be working on: 

• Develop the company’s marketing plan and goals and execute against both
• Build brand awareness through strategies and tactics that take into account Ledger’s current footprint and expansion plans
• Work with external agencies and designers to develop content, brand assets, and experiences that captivate customers and potential employees
• Work closely with our external PR agency on content and communications strategy
• Create thought leadership content to pioneer Ledger’s vision
• Lead launch communications for company announcements
• Grow brand following through content creation, email marketing, social media, and events
• Conduct market research to understand messaging  effectiveness to evolve our brand and marketing touch-points

About you: 

• 10+ years of marketing experience at a fast-growing fintech/financial services company (ideally experience in content marketing and working on a brand from an early stage)
• Articulate storyteller, must be able to both speak and write with passion and clarity
• Deadline-driven - you can move quickly to create high quality content in an evolving environment.
• Able to break down complex concepts and explain them simply
• Experience working across a wide variety of marketing channels within a startup environment with limited resources preferred
• Excited about rolling up your sleeves to get things done
• Strong intuition and understanding of what makes great creative, proficient working with and giving direction to external stakeholders
• Demonstrated interest in transforming insurance risk
