About the Role

Dandy is hiring a Head of Materials Management & Supply Planning to join our rapidly growing venture-backed company in Lehi, UT or Carrollton, TX. In this role, you’ll oversee the planning and coordination of our location’s inventory and purchasing departments and will help create operating and performance plans. Attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude are qualities that will facilitate success in this role. We are open to relocation for this role!

What You'll Do

Strategic capability building:

• Build zero to one and scale processes, systems/tools and models to plan inventory, production and capacity with high accuracy and precision. 

• Lead materials planning and management across multiple manufacturing plants including performing the onsite job wherever you are physically located. 

• Lead MRP and production management/scheduling systems scoping and adoption to create systems driven operations. 

• Build systems and analytics to deliver 100% on time ship and on time delivery

• Build inventory strategy and systems that enable optimization of inventory availability against quality, cost and on time delivery. 

• Build integrated planning, reporting and analysis capability. 

Operational Delivery of the following for each manufacturing site:

• Maintain optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements

• Direct production planning, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and materials storage

• Develop annual, quarterly and monthly forecasts in partnership with operations and finance. Track performance and deviations to forecast

• Collaborate with management to create and manage production planning and forecasting models

• Establish procedures and supervises cycle counts and the annual physical inventory (if required)

• Supervise, evaluate and coach staff members

• Interface with supply chain on the planning and forecasting of customer orders to meet demand

• Maintain relationships and negotiate with suppliers

• Purchase supplies and materials according to specifications

• Ensure that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all materials department functions

• Ensure that MRP transactions are up to date and accurate

What We're Looking For 

• 7+ years' experience in manufacturing or logistics role or related experience

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, engineering or related field

• Ability to lead team members

• Customer service-oriented

• Solid understanding of supply chain and inventory management systems

• Ability to solve problems swiftly

• Working knowledge of SAP, Netsuite, Microsoft Dynamics or similar

• Excellent organizational and leadership skills

• Advanced knowledge of forecasting and budgeting processes

Bonus Points For

• Ability to build and analyze SQL queries for performance improvements

• Ability to use database analytical tools to assess performance and generate reports
