Nokia seeks skilled patent transaction specialist with significant experience in patent acquisitions and divestitures.

What you will learn and contribute to

Are you passionate about solving problems?

As part of our team, you will:

• Develop divestiture packages for highly targeted patented divestures.
  • Market the packages through a well thought through sales process to maximize value to Nokia.
  • Be able to carefully articulate the economic benefits on deal-by-deal basis
• Develop a patent acquisition strategy based on a careful alignment with the needs of the Multimedia licensing team
  • Execute on the strategy leveraging both the candidate's pre-established network and Nokia's network
  • Be able to evaluate inbound claim chart packages as part of an acquisition deal by teaming with in house counsel or outside counsel as needed
  • Be able to justify on a deal-by-deal basis the expected positive impact to the Multimedia licensing program
• Work with outside counsel in selecting assets for acquisitions or divestitures as needed
• Support outside claim chart preparers as needed to develop claim chart packages for patent divestitures

Your skills and experience

You have:

• Must have experience in developing and marketing packages for patent sales and evaluating similar material for inbound acquisitions.
• The candidate should have a strong history in acquisitions and sales and closed a minimum of 20 transactions in the last 5 -7 years.
• The candidate should be able to handle multiple projects in parallel.
• Must be a team player who can work well with attorneys, deal leads and technical team members.
• Experience with video compression, video delivery, user experience, social media and e-faming preferred.
• MBA or JD admitted to practice in at least one US state.
• Strong pre-existing network of relationships that have supported past deals.
• Ability to travel to attend meetings as needed.
• Preferred work location - Sunnyvale (Dallas may also be considered).
