Saturn is seeking an energetic, creative, and collaborative Head of People with exceptional judgment, interpersonal skills, and a desire to develop and grow our talented team. As Saturn’s Head of People, you will be responsible for cultivating an environment that sets our people up for success, generating an outstanding employee experience, and structuring systems that enable a fast-growing organization to consistently scale excellent performance.

Your Responsibilities Will Include: 

• Understand, support, and embody a culture that reinforces our values, sustains morale, engages multilateral feedback, and attracts incredible new talent to accelerate the growth of our people and company
• Continue to build and evolve Saturn’s talent development processes including organizational core competencies, goal-setting, performance metrics, 360-degree feedback, coaching, and semiannual reviews
• Design organizational structures and career pathways that encourage effective operations, and also support mutually beneficial growth opportunities for employees
• Champion a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace 
• Manage our external human resources partners (including payroll, retirement programs, and international employment) and ensure Saturn is compliant with all labor-related regulations
• Facilitate annual programs such as the employee engagement survey(s) and open enrollment
• Optimize employee compensation and benefits programs to ensure market competitiveness 
• Implement and continually improve Saturn’s onboarding and new hire training process, making sure that employees feel welcomed, informed about their benefits, and prepared to excel in their roles

You Should Have:

• 7+ years of experience building, leading, and managing People functions 
• A bachelor’s degree in human resources, labor relations, organizational development, business or related area; relevant work experience may be a substitute
• Experience implementing and maintaining a human resources information system (HRIS) such as Justworks, Workday, or Gusto
• Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including employment law, compensation, performance management, safety, hiring, and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations
• Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamwork
• Experience with analyzing data to guide strategic employment planning
• Bonus if you have been the first or second people person at a hyper-growth startup
