We are looking for a Head of People to join our leadership team as we continue on our exciting journey. This individual will be responsible for leading the People function in all aspects of Odeko’s HR related activities. The Head of People will play a pivotal role in enhancing our human resource strategy in support of Odeko’s overall business plan and strategic direction. He, she, they, or them will serve as a thought partner to the Executive team with regards to leadership, coaching, employee relations, talent attraction, engagement, culture, compensation, organizational design and change, performance management, learning and development. The incumbent will also oversee the People team and be responsible for leading, assessing, mentoring and supporting team members to ensure daily People operations are handled timely and appropriately.

How you’ll make an impact:
  • Serve as a business and thought partner to the Founder & Executive Team and other senior leaders
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the business strategy, financial performance and the essential operations. 
  • Drive organizational transformation as the business and strategy evolve. 
  • Build an enviable employer brand and talent acquisition strategy
  • Ensure the company has outstanding programs for employee development, retention, and succession planning to build bench strength and ensure organizational effectiveness throughout the company
  • Ensure that compensation packages are effective, competitive, and award performance.
  • Develop and drive programs that encourage diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Identify challenges and emerging HR issues, and proactively provide recommendations
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality and rapid response to issues
  • Lead and build a team to develop and execute HR strategies including talent acquisition and retention; clear and consistent communication, and building a best-in-class culture
  • Implementation of initiatives to further demonstrate our passion, pride and dedication to Diversity, Equity and Belonging.
  • Build and maintain a highly effective, sustainable and inclusive culture that is aligned across the US and UK. 
About you: 
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree or MBA preferred. Certifications in HR required (SPHR, GPHR). 15+ years of relevant business experience ideal.
  • At least 10+ years of progressive HRBP leadership experience, with 2-3 year leading an HR function.
  • Profound understanding of all people disciplines such as talent acquisition of tech and business talent, employee relations, leadership, conflict management, people operations, etc.
  • Experience supporting hourly and salaried employee populations
  • Experience in high growth startup environments helpful
  • Experience preparing companies for public offering 
  • Proven track record of scaling organizations to 400 to 1000+ employees
  • Proven track record of working with and managing remote workforces
  • Empathetic listener with a genuine interest in understanding colleagues viewpoints
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
  • Genuine interest in mentoring and coaching others.
