Your Mission 

As Head of People Operations at SADA, you will focus on the SADAian experience by implementing strategic solutions within all Human Resources programs/initiatives including benefits, employee relations and culture.This role is part of the People Operations team and will report directly to the VP of People Ops. It is a management role that has multiple direct reports. We are looking for someone who has experience with scaling internal processes for an organization that has grown from medium to large size. The Head Talent Operations will have a global reach. The ideal candidate will be hands on but also experienced with high level strategic processes. We are looking for someone who is very organized and thrives off of meeting deadlines. Building meaningful relationships is at the core of this role and essential for successful roll out of all initiatives (employee centric and hands-on). This person will ensure that SADA’s philosophy, principles, and core values are evident in everything they do! 

Responsibilities: 

HR Initiatives (Processes/Reporting/Compliance):

  • Provide oversight and direction for high-level Human Resources initiatives: strategic alignment with company goals and mission including overall workforce scaling.
  • Own and manage day to day activities housed within our HRIS. Master our system (paylocity) and become the inhouse expert related to all employee operations functions including but not limited to overall employee setup, benefits administration, employee status changes, performance management and data insights.
  • Develop and execute processes to maintain data integrity across multiple company-wide systems and platforms.
  • Gather, interpret and use data to conduct quantitative analysis. Understand trends and drive strategic decisions around HR Initiatives.
  • Identify and improve any inconsistent gaps related to human resources functions. Design and implement user-friendly processes, policies, guidelines, and documentation, and troubleshoot issues (#drivepurposefulimpact)
  • Ensure legal compliance with all state and federal laws (#bedatadriven)
  • Oversee immigration case management, and assess needs as related to Human Resources functions and processes
  • Work with the payroll team to ensure timely processing of all payroll changes (salary, title, department, etc.)
  • Work closely with other heads within People Operations on initiatives related to Talent Development, Talent Acquisition as well as Global operations.
  • Manage and develop direct reports within department 

Employee Benefits and Leaves:

  • Review, evaluate, and propose new employee benefit programs that are current, competitive, and in compliance with legal requirements
  • Manage the administration and processing of all employee benefit programs and leaves
  • In charge of handling all incoming benefits related questions/issues 
  • Take an active role with Open Enrollment, 401(k) and FSA non-discrimination testing, and 401(k) true-up events. 
  • Own leave administration and tracking (parental leave, medical leave, workers’ comp, FMLA, disability, etc.)

Employee Relations: 

  • Investigate and resolve employee concerns/complaints as related to Employee Relations. Represent organization at personnel-related investigations; Resolve labor disputes and grievances
  • Assist managers in following protocol for all employee relation issues, including disciplinary action, investigations, and terminations

Performance Management 

  • Ensure SADA processes for performance management are all met and being tracked (ie. 90-day reviews, annual reviews, and employee goals tracking)
  • Assisting Managers with performance management related concerns and PIP’s. 

Global:

  • Oversee HR functions/processes on a global level

Expectations

Onboarding/Training - The first several weeks of onboarding are dedicated to learning and will encompass learning materials/assignments and compliance training, as well as meetings with relevant individuals. Details of the timeline are shared closer to the start date. 

Job Requirements

Required Credentials:

  • Masters degree in related field 

Required Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years of experience within the Human Resources field 
  • Prior experience with developing and maintaining benefits programs for employees
  • Previous experience with establishing processes and other day-to-day operations related to Human Resources
  • Prior experience with handling employee relations issues/concerns including investigations and resolutions
  • Prior experience with scaling the workforce (of an organization) due to growth with regards to Human Resources initiatives
  • Previous management experience
  • Proven ability to measure the impact of Human Resources initiatives and use data and metrics to make recommendations
  • Strong proficiency in working in a fast paced environment and meeting continuous deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to influence all levels of leaders and execute in an employee-centric manner
  • Innovative and proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise integrity and sound judgment in complex and ambiguous situations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment 
  • Ability to provide top notch customer service (our employees are our customers)
  • Experience with Google Workspace (formerly known as G Suite)

Useful Qualifications:

  • Human Resources certifications
  • Previous experience with Paylocity, Netsuite, and Greenhouse is a plus
