Summary:

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Head of Product will be responsible for leading new product/process development, product requirements and improvements. This person will focus on aligning our product strategy with the overall business strategy. They will oversee new products while ensuring quality and application functionality for existing products.

Objective and primary responsibilities:

  • Oversee Product Development, quality, and performance. 

Strategy & Growth: 

  • Work with the leadership team to drive product vision and strategy
  • Work closely with Commercial, Tech, and other internal teams to develop and implement product strategies 
  • Define and measure key product metrics to track and analyze product performance against business goals
  • Own and execute product roadmap while owning product development
  • Strategic planning and management of the entire product portfolio at EVERY from vision through delivery and iteration
  • Identify areas for growth and create strategic product line roadmaps to help drive adoption of the product and differentiate features
  • Implement product management frameworks and decision-making processes that appropriately balance value risk, usability risk, feasibility risk, and business viability risk
  • Remove roadblocks and ensure alignment with EVERY’s top priorities

Marketing & Business 

  • Utilizes experience and understanding of customer needs to drive the development and delivery of products to market. 
  • Works closely with the global commercial team to defend, migrate and grow high margin, high market share business. Understands how to work with and drive business across multiple channels (direct, inside sales, distributors)
  • Understands the customers’ mindset and what drives customers throughout the buying process. Leverages understanding to bring insights to R&D and Operations teams

People & Leadership:

  • Build and grow an effective product team by directly managing and developing people
  • Work cross-functionally with a distributed team across engineering, operations, and business development.
  • Define, analyze, and communicate product success metrics, including a budget, financials, and KPIs.

Requirements:

  • 15 years of product experience with a min of 10 years in a leadership role within product management and/or development 
  • Previous experience in food science 
  • Ability to think strategically.
  • Experience working at a startup and/or early-stage growth company is a strong plus. 

Nice to have:

  • CPG/FMCG experience

Soft Skills:

  • Understand how to help others in the company see the vision
  • Comfortable dealing with a bit of uncertainty
  • Create an environment where great ideas are heard, evaluated, and invested in
