As Head of Product, In Silico Design, you will partner with the SVP and head of Medicine Design to align platform build as well as scientific and technical activities with Treeline mission and priorities. Your initial focus will be on logistical execution of end-to-end computational hit identification, removing obstacles to both team and platform execution. A significant part of this role will involve optimizing bidirectional communication between Medicine Design and other Treeline functions, between Med Design sub-teams, and with external technology partners. You will enable us to continuously measure and improve the transformative impact of our technology on Treeline projects, and ensure a rich dialogue between Medicine Design, other Treeline functions, and external entities. This will include understanding challenges and concerns, as well as listening to and synthesizing diverse ideas.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with head of Med Design to continually align platform build and other Med Design activities with Treeline mission and priorities.
• Optimize bidirectional communication between Med Design and other Treeline functions, between Med Design sub-teams, and with external technology partners.
• Develop technical/scientific understanding of the current state of all Med Design activities including platform build and scientific project impact, along with barriers to achieving Treeline’s mission to drug challenging oncology targets.
• Translate the above to metrics and key performance indicators that enable us to measure the transformative impact of our technology on the business.
• Collaborating with the Med Design leadership team and Treeline executive team, utilize the above to drive prioritization and focus for Med Design activities and fully realize the value from the platform build.
• Identify and remove obstacles to team and platform execution.
• Confident representation of head of Med Design with external partners as needed.
• Ensure rich dialogue between Med Design, other Treeline functions, and external entities via listening to ideas as well as challenges and concerns; act as a synthesizer of these ideas.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific discipline required; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in life science industry (biotechnology or pharmaceutical) with demonstrated experience managing or influencing cross-functional project teams
• Experience with software development and/or software project management required
• Knowledge of computational chemistry and cheminformatics preferred
• High sense of urgency and work ethic

• Brilliant synthesizer of diverse ideas, and ability to challenge others in a well-spoken manner to make that synthesis work.
