The Role

We are seeking a Head of Product Marketing to establish the product marketing function for the

organization, instrumental in its success as a multi-product company. Own consumer insights, positioning, value props, and go-to-market, including program management, for a current loan product as well as a new product in development. Following this launch, the Head of Product Marketing will be dedicated to the ongoing performance of each product line in close partnership and collaboration with their counterparts in product, design, and engineering (PDE). Responsible for partnering closely with PDE to deliver competitive positioning and value proposition messaging for existing and future product lines.

Develop a deep understanding of the customer and user journeys through qualitative and quantitative research. Test hypotheses with customers and internal teams to drive marketing, product, and/or service innovations. Conduct and maintain up-to-date market and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats to inform product development, positioning, and go-to-market strategy. Define clear success metrics for each product line, own and manage the execution of new products and major features by working across teams to ensure release readiness and go-to-market strategy, and define, build, and lead the product marketing function. Position reports to company headquarters in Seattle, WA. May telecommute from any location in the U.S.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Marketing, Business, English, or a related field. Must also have five years of related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience with each of the following:

(1) Leading and managing product beta testing plan development and project management;

(2) Managing product go to market and user acquisition programs, including managing Facebook and Google analytics to track marketing spend efficiencies and channel mix;

(3) Implementing Marketing software operations practices and best practices for the full email marketing development life cycle, including requirement gathering, operations standards, build processes, testing, and regular platform updates. Also requires three years of experience with each of the following:

(1) Managing the delivery of technical projects from design to release, including report generation, customer interaction, and post-release management;

(2) Leading regular product growth and marketing campaign performance using data analytics tools including Tableau and Looker;

(3) Working with marketing, product management and engineers to gather feature requirements and establish priorities to drive product go to market strategy and product adoption; and

(4) Managing large projects in support of organizational objectives using project management methodologies. Will accept experience gained concurrently.

In the alternative, the company will accept a Master’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Marketing, Business, English, or a related field. Must also have three years of experience with each of the following:

(1) Leading and managing product beta testing plan development and project management;
