Head of Public Relations - US Remote or NYC

Here at Hugging Face, we're on a journey to advance good Machine Learning and make it more accessible. Along the way, we contribute to technology development for the better.

We raised our Series C with Sequoia and Coatue in May 2022 and are quickly growing our global team.

We have been covered in dozens of publications and are now looking for our first full-time public relations team member.

Essential Skills:

• Can communicate technical and complex concepts simply
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and is flexible with change-of-plans
• Comfortable jumping into other team's internal workflows
• Confident communicator and presenter
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly analytical with solid problem-solving skills

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Understand foundational media needs and maintain excellent relationships with media professionals
• Pitch stories to the media
• Prepare embargos and media kits as necessary
• Field media questions
• Support team members with their interviews with Press as needed
• Comfortable receiving constructive feedback
• Follow up with journalists (and team members who have completed interviews) to ensure strong & trustworthy relationships are maintained
• Communicate with Executive Team regularly to ensure wider messaging aligns with company goals
• Analyze media coverage; develop responses when needed
• Can navigate crisis communication efforts effectively

Ideal location:

East coast US time zone to be able to chat with Europe + West Coast
