Provide leadership to lead and train subordinates and vendors/factories to comply company’s quality procedure, requirements and standard, ensure high consistency and accuracy. Liaise with Headquarter for quality project and improvement plan.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Implement and execute quality standards:

  • Permanent on-site control quality output across Apparel, Performance Gears and Softgoods Suppliers throughout product review meeting, inline inspection and final inspection for sample and bulk orders base on given quality requirements.
  • Liaise with Headquarter for risk assessment, ensure appropriate corrective actions plan in place for production execution.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply to the company standards.
  • Support Headquarter for making quality decisions.
  • Constant alignment and communication with HQ on workmanship and quality requirements.
  • Drive quality strategy across Asia.

Reporting on quality performance and projects:

  • Liaise with Headquarter for quality inspection report - documentation and maintenance.
  • Liaise with Headquarter, monitor vendors/factories’ performance through analysis of statistical data. Work out corrective action plan for immediate improvement.
  • Liaise with Headquarter, setting quality standard for factory and guidance for each department and process.
  • Liaise with Headquarter, establish SOPs for production and preparatory processes to get right first-time quality from each process.
  • Support Headquarter for quality projects.

Training:

  • Liaise with Headquarter to identify the training needs for staffs and Vendors/Factories. Co-ordinate with Headquarter to set up the training programs.
  • Perform evaluation on new factories and provide training to ensure new factories to have comprehensive knowledge in executing our Quality standard and requirements.

Lead and team management:

  • Plan and then control the operational expenses of her/his division.
  • Supervise and manage Quality team. Assign QA schedule and manage team and individual’s performance.
  • Set clear quality direction to the team members and monitor progress regularly.
  • Maintain close and appropriate relationship with all vendors as well as with all peers in both Asia and Headquarter.
  • Plus, any other requirements as directed by Management

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Apparel, Footwear, packs, outdoor gears and accessories technology with wide professional experience in a comparable position minimum 7 years.
  • Proficiency in production and quality processes.
  • Strong technical product knowledge on waterproofed workmanship, technical features, handling and construction.
  • Good knowledge in paper pattern and fitting.
  • Good experience with assessing product quality and the capabilities of vendors.
  • Good people’s management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • High degree of flexibility and good communication with internal / external business partners.
  • Independent and decisive.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience.
  • Diploma in textile studies.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT (if applicable)

  • Work is performed in a designated professional office workstation and environment.
  • Extensive use of office equipment to include computer, calculator, copier, fax, and other business-related machines and software.
  • Travel frequently domestically and internationally.
