Nextdoor is seeking a Head of Sales Enablement, based in San Francisco, Chicago or New York to build its team and program from the ground up. The team’s mission will be to effectively align people, processes, and priorities with relevant learnings, communication and coaching to enable sales mastery and work efficiency.  

The Impact You’ll Make

The Head of Sales Enablement will be responsible for developing a best in class education and learning program for Nextdoor’s Sales, Services, and Solutions teams. The core responsibility will be to build a value based sales framework and create engaging learning experiences around sales skills and a go-to-market strategy that resonate with the various daily scenarios Sales face. The Sales Enablement team is essential to Nextdoor achieving its aggressive growth and revenue targets by helping improve the quality of conversations with prospects and customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Be the expert with regards to sales readiness best practices and provide thought leadership to position Nextdoor’s revenue team as the model in the industry
  • Establish team goals in collaboration with stakeholders in Sales, Operations, Marketing and Product. Coordinate with these stakeholders to define and drive readiness initiatives that arm teams with the necessary content and go-to-market strategy to increase revenue
  • Understand the key sales metrics that will be the inputs and outputs to the measurement of success. Ensure that education content and programs are instrumented so that we are making data-driven decisions and quantifying the impact of enablement
  • Design, lead, and oversee training programs on sales frameworks, skill-based development and product knowledge delivered through eLearning and live sessions
  • Communicate effectively and often to ensure all stakeholders are aligned and view sales readiness programs as a multiplier
  • Build a global team over time and be motivated to roll up your sleeves to get the work done in the near term
  • Drive continuous innovation and improvement
What You’ll Bring To The Team:
  • 7+ years of proven Sales Enablement leadership experience within the advertising and/or adtech sectors. Prior experience establishing Sales Enablement as a function in a global environment preferred
  • Proven success in developing, communicating and implementing sales enablement and broader GTM programs
  • Experience designing and delivering learning programs across various modalities (e.g., microlearning, mobile learning, eLearning, virtual learning, live classroom)
  • Creative thinker familiar with basic advertising sales strategies and processes and key advertising KPIs
  • Knowledge and experience working with CRM, order management systems, ad servers, DSPs, BI platforms and other related advertising tools and systems
  • Experience managing teams through periods of rapid growth and navigating ambiguity 
  • History of success in roles generating revenue, or in support of generating revenue
  • Results-oriented. Desire to work in a fast-paced and, at times, challenging environment
  • Proven ability to influence and motivate teams and present and deliver to a broad audience
  • Highly collaborative with a knack for cultivating key stakeholder relationships

Compensation, benefits, perks, and recognition programs at Nextdoor come together to create one overall rewards package.

The starting salary for this role is expected to range from $150,000 to $240,000  on an annualized basis, or potentially greater in the event that your 'level' of proficiency exceeds the level expected for the role. Compensation may also vary by geography.

We also expect to award a meaningful equity grant for this role. With equal quarterly vesting, your first vest date would be within the first 3 months of your start date.

Overall, total compensation will vary depending on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
