Now, we’re evolving our business to launch a new sub-brand and product offering called Onyx by Outbrain: it’s a new branding platform designed to use our heritage in predicting engagement to help brands maximize attention across the open web. 


Onyx is wholly separate from the Outbrain you know today.  Onyx is a programmatic -first offering in a dedicated, environment of viewable, in-article placements, featuring rich video and display experiences that drive greater audience attention and impact.  These placements are completely incremental and exclusive to Onyx. 


Most importantly, Onyx leverages our powerful prediction technology in a new way — predicting the moments likely to drive attention, by ingesting 1 billion context and interest signals per minute. The attention Onyx delivers is verified and measured by Adelaide, leading attention measurement platform. 

 


The Outbrain Onyx team is seeking a highly-motivated and passionate sales leader to accelerate our growing Enterprise business with a focus on the automotive industry. In partnership with our global commercial and strategy leadership, you’ll develop frameworks to easily leverage Outbrain for full funnel solutions from brand awareness to driving sales. You’ll drive our strategic enterprise brand direct partnerships and agreements, while working alongside our agency team. Expertise in video and programmatic advertising will be essential to your success.  


A day in the life:

  • Establish a significant enterprise brand book of business by leveraging your existing contacts.  
  • Plan, direct and implement sales strategy including programmatic channels
  • Conduct sales planning, leading to accurate forecasting of business
  • Maintain contact with key markets and customers, while maximizing potential volume
  • Plan and direct Salesforce activities to maximize profit from all segments of the market and provide accurate budgets and sales forecasts
  • Exceed sales, pricing and yield goals and develop scalable solutions and improvements to support Outbrain’s continued growth
  • Create and communicate sales plans and progress to executive staff, including special events, incentives and lead management
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including product, operations, marketing, account management, and our newly established agency sales team


What you’ll bring:

  • 10 + years experience in digital media sales/services with a focus on enterprise brand direct required, preferably with a background in programmatically bought and sold Display, as well as Video
  • Extensive network of influential contacts at Enterprise brands, ideally in the automotive vertical. 
  • Proven track record in fostering relationships with decision makers at enterprise brands with well-regarded reputation, strategic mindset, and track-record of delivering results
  • Consistently demonstrates the ability to exceed revenue targets and to raise the bar with innovative ways to provide value to clients
  • The ability and willingness to travel domestically as needed for client meetings
  • Proven expertise in video and programmatic advertising

The annual base pay range for this position is $200,000.00-$220,000.00 not including on target earnings. The actual amount offered may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and abilities. In addition to salary, you may be eligible for an equity package, as well as our competitive benefits and perks to support you and your family as part of Outbrain's total rewards package.
