AlGooru is a Saudi-based learning platform that offers 1-on-1 private tutoring services in a variety of academic and recreational subjects. It is the first licensed private tutoring platform in Saudi Arabia, approved by the National e-Learning Center (NELC). AlGooru provides tailored educational support to students, and it's backed by several renowned investors including Constructor Capital, Techstars, Plug & Play, Raz Group, RZM Investment, and prestigious institutions like KAUST, Hub71, and MiSK.

The Role Highlights

Main Responsibilities:

In close collaboration with the Founder, the main objectives of this role are:

1. Establish strategies to achieve +70% gross margins during FY'25
2. Support founders in closing Series A round by H1’25 (lead sourcing, presentations, negotiations, DD)
3. Initiate strategies to double our CAC:LTV by H1'25 and triple it by EOH2’25

A Day In Your Life

This role requires working closely with the Founder to achieve the following:

1. Create and regularly update financial models on a monthly basis with 95% target and budget achievement rates
2. Ensure continuous QoQ revenue growth by:
1. Regularly conducting in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making,
2. Providing proactive recommendations to optimize financial performance, and
3. Regularly monitoring financial KPIs and trends.
3. Become the go-to-person for all-things finance matters (budget allocation, financial analysis, cashflow management)
4. Continuously identify cost saving opportunities & best cost structure.

You’re the Head of Strategic Finance we’re looking for if you have:

• 6+ years in finance, including 2+ years in leadership roles
• Proven success in strategic financial planning and Series A fundraising
• Experience in optimizing gross margins and CAC ratios
• Strong background in lead sourcing, investor presentations, and due diligence
• Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting
• Proficiency in financial KPIs and trend analysis
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective leadership and cross-functional collaboration

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience with Series A+ startups or VCs.
• Edtech industry knowledge is a plus.
• Strong network with investors.
• Preference for Google Sheets over Excel.
