Your Role:

As the Head of Tax, you’ll be working with some of the industry’s brightest minds as part of the Finance team reporting to the CFO, responsible for overseeing all tax activities for the organization including US & International tax planning, tax research, tax compliance and income tax returns. This role also manages all technical tax research and tax planning projects and coordinates outsourced tax projects as well.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of international tax planning strategies to reduce the effective tax rate and/or cash taxes
  • Manage the transfer pricing function and global IP planning initiatives, including compliance with current reporting and documentation requirements.
  • Manage intercompany cross-border transactions, including allocation and sharing of expenses.
  • Support business expansion into new markets and countries to ensure consistency with the global tax strategy and efficiency from a cash tax and effective tax rate perspectives
  • Manage the accurate and timely preparation of all US and non-US tax filings, including related to the Company’s international operations.
  • Partner with business, finance, and tax leaders across the global organization to collaborate on significant tax matters affecting the Company’s operations outside the US
  • Perform critical research and analysis related to global tax planning initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, transfer pricing, and tax credit opportunities
  • Analyze US and non-US tax impacts of international transactions to determine impact on the Company’s global taxes
  • Proactively work with businesses to structure their operations to promote tax efficiency and mitigate tax risk
  • Coordinate with outside tax advisors, including attorneys, accounting firms, and other tax consultants on various tax projects.
  • Actively engage in quarterly financial reporting processes; prepare analyses of US foreign inclusion items and provide assistance and review of income tax provisions related to significant international subsidiaries in accordance with US GAAP
  • Manage any ad hoc and special projects as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, CPA. 
  • Minimum of 7 years tax experience in Big 4 public accounting firm, corporate tax department or combination thereof, with a minimum of 4 years international taxation experience
  • Sound technical knowledge and practical experience dealing with foreign and US international tax issues, including global IP planning and transfer pricing, for multinational corporations.
  • Involvement in preparation of tax provisions for foreign entities under US GAAP
  • Have a strong work ethic and be able to manage multiple competing priorities and accelerated deadlines in a fast-paced informal work environment.
  • Detail oriented with strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess strong written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex tax concepts to non-tax colleagues.
  • Ability to travel, both domestic and internationally, if required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters in taxation a plus

Annual Salary Range:

($190K - $265K), plus benefits and incentive plans
