Head of Technical Project Management (m/f/d) - Strategy Projects Tech & Core Enabling

Job Description

We are currently looking for a skilled & passionate Head of Technical Project Management (m/f/d) to lead our Strategy Projects Tech & Core Enabling Team at ABOUT YOU!

Our Strategy Projects Tech Team is responsible for steering our most important strategic initiatives across our full system landscape. Doing so they ensure efficient and smooth cross-system solutions to enable our commerce business (all our About You shops in the different countries in which we operate).

What you will do

• You will steer the key strategic initiatives across our system landscape in close collaboration with the application teams
• You will manage a team of 3 project managers, with plans to expand the team as project demands grow, and collaborate closely with various business stakeholders to drive projects from the business side
• You will report directly to our VP level and prepare MD decisions
• Challenge business requirements to minimize technical complexity while maintaining business value
• Plan the right time and capacity for our projects and resolve blockers and dependencies
• Lots of space for your own ideas and creations, flat hierarchies, and very short decision-making process

Who you are

• Completed studies in business informatics or a comparable course of study 
• Minimum 3-5 years of practical experience in tech project management 
• Deep understanding of business and tech processes 
• Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, and quality, along with risk and critical path management
• practical experience of working directly with engineering teams
• You have an analytical, data-driven, and efficiency-focused approach
• You like to work hands-on with high attention to details and have a get-things-done mentality
• Very good written and spoken English skills
