Head of Trade Execution

The Job/What You'll Do:

AssetMark strives to deliver asset management excellence, and the Trade Operations team plays a key role in this delivery by ensuring that clients are accurately invested in a timely manner with quality trade execution to ensure the best client outcome.

We are looking for a Head of Trade Execution to join our team. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the efficient and timely execution of Equities and Fixed Income at scale. In addition, the individual will stay up-to-date with industry regulations, market practices, and best execution standards.

We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to one of our following offices: Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities:

• Manage team of associates in meeting the needs of financial advisors by processing all activity with accuracy and speed.
• Execute an aggressive people agenda to increase employee engagement and accelerate the pace of people development
• Manage activities using key metrics and employ strong controllership through clear, frequently maintained, comprehensive procedure documentation
• Provide expert assistance and dedicated involvement in projects impacting trading
• Maintain strong focus on building new capabilities, particularly those that improve scalability, reduce risk, drive productivity, and improve customer experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Experience working in cross-functional teams in a variety of roles bringing strong facilitative leadership to projects and processes
• Ability to collect, analyze, interpret, report and communicate data effectively
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members in a fast paced environment and can effectively prioritize, manage, and identify risk
• Experience working with technologies such as Python, R or SQL, preferred.
• Strong track record of leadership and leading highly engaged business units

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, engineering, business/finance, or related field
• 5+ years of experience
