About the Head of Travel Latin America - AIG Travel role
The Head of Travel Latin America role is a leadership position responsible to develop manage the individual travel insurance and assistance services line of business in Latin America. This position reports to Head of the Americas at AIG Travel.
Responsibilities
- Monitors all facets of the Travel business in Latin America.
- Responsible for the creation and execution of the regional business development plan.
- Identifies and evaluates the means to acquire / retain accounts, increase production, improve market share and maximize growth opportunities.
- Interacts with key clients and industry organizations as necessary to favorably position the AIG brand and grow the Travel business.
- Initiates and or participates in sales and marketing activities in support of intermediated distribution channels.
- Manger that is responsible for account management, finance and training/QA in the region
- Drives the budgeting & forecasting process.
- Prepares senior management presentations / communications.
- Supports and participates in cross-functional efforts to achieve Global Travel's overall business objectives.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Accountable to a pre-determined set of performance objectives.
- Based in Houston, Texas.
Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience preferred
- Underwriting background and relevant licenses are a plus
- 10+ years travel industry distribution experience
- Strong track record of building and managing relationships
- Technical expertise in all facets of business development
- Skillful communicator both written and oral
- Proven ability to plan and execute
- Innovative, collaborative and results-driven orientation
- Availability and willingness to travel up to 25%
