The Role

We are seeking a highly qualified Head of Treasury & Data Analytics to work on our Global Treasury Team. The team is responsible for the funding, collateral management, securities lending, financing & clearing counterparty management, capital protection & preservation and other Treasury related aspects of the firm across all asset classes, strategies & regions. Schonfeld’s Treasury Team puts a great emphasis on building highly efficient, automated & scalable processes utilizing technology to achieve these goals and works directly with the firm’s investment professionals in supporting their processes and investment decision making.  The candidate would own and be responsible for working with the firm’s Global Treasurer and Treasury team along with numerous other internal Schonfeld businesses and external counterparties to establish, lead and continually enhance a best-in-class Treasury Analytics platform.                                                                                                                                                                                                                  

What you’ll do

The Head of Treasury & Data Analytics position is a central, entrepreneurial role within the Schonfeld Treasury team; this candidate will help conceptualize, plan, build and integrate systems and processes to ensure the team is producing high quality information and reporting to support strategy planning and decision making as it pertains to funding, capital allocation, risk management, liquidity, regulatory compliance, and other Treasury related responsibilities.  In addition, the ideal candidate will be able to have an opinion and provide input into the strategic decision-making process around the analytics and output they produce.  They will be responsible for leading an effort around system & reporting buildouts, the approach on how to execute on such builds, and then seamlessly integrating this into the existing Treasury environment at the firm.  Communication and staying abreast of industry and market developments is vital to being successful in this role.

What you’ll bring

What you need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering or a related field
  • An entrepreneurial self-starter with a high degree of ability to identify gaps in information, problem solve, devise & build efficient process and workflows around information delivery
  • A minimum of 5 years in a Treasury or Financial Resources Analytics type role at a hedge fund or asset manager
  • Thorough understanding of balance sheet calculations along with liquidity risk
  • Thorough understanding of investment products and how they function along with associated funding markets and mechanisms
  • Experience working with Treasury related data & associated analysis
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability along with a track record of delivering results
  • The ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to details
  • The ability to create an overarching collaborative and dynamic firm culture by being in constant communication with both the investment and infrastructure teams
  • Having excellent competitive intelligence

The base pay for this role is expected to be between $200,000 and $250,000. The expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance bonus and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
