Job Description
The Head of Wholesale Client Onboarding Metrics & Analytics will join the Global Services Finance & Business Management (GS F&BM) organization, leading both strategy and execution of business analytics programs for Commercial Bank and Corporate Investment Bank. This high-visibility role will partner with senior leaders in Finance, Technology, Strategy, and Operations to ensure that high quality, efficient, and insightful reporting and analysis programs are in place to enable strong business performance.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage a ~10 FTE global reporting/analysis organization. Hire, lead, develop and coach diverse & high-performing teams of data and analytical talent
  • Manage a high-volume and high-complexity reporting book of work, leveraging strong project management discipline and strong controls
  • Demonstrate a high level of responsiveness and credibility in response to senior management on-going and ad-hoc requests
  • Develop a deep understanding of Client Onboarding systems and processes in order to extract insights from data while identifying and recommending transformation and operational efficiency opportunities
  • Define, monitor, and report key operational metrics, mining data from available data sources; create a robust documentation suite to clearly articulate data definitions while highlighting data quality gaps for inclusion in Technology and Process Improvement roadmaps
  • Accountable for an Executive Management Reports, incorporating key people, productivity, efficiency, client experience, finance, and control metrics. Review in senior manager forums and speak fluently to patterns in observed data
  • Provide a high level of responsiveness to executive ad-hoc requests related to process improvement analysis and "what-if" scenario modelling
  • Define, design, and manage high priority strategic initiatives with senior level visibility in areas above
  • Provides strategic input into business decisions as a trusted advisor

Required Qualifications
  • 12+ years of experience within MIS, analytics, business management or consulting roles
  • Ability to serve as a strategic business consultant, working with executives to guide improvement of reporting while using new tools to streamline existing processes
  • Program management experience with history of leveraging project management discipline to deliver complex initiatives
  • Experience developing complex business analysis models by being resourceful, consulting with others and considering alternatives
  • Demonstrated ability to set a strategic management reporting vision from scratch
  • Outstanding technical skills to access complex data sources to solve problems, with hands-on experience in use of Business Intelligence toolsets and database platforms; examples include Hadoop (SQL-like), Alteryx, Qlik Sense, R, Python, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of products such as PowerPoint, Excel and Visio
  • Leads the execution of initiatives/programs; assesses and adapts as needed to ensure quality of execution
  • Defines business requirements for analytics & reporting to ensure data insights inform business decision making
  • Encourages staff, colleagues, team, and senior management to challenge and improve upon status quo
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across the organization, leveraging other teams as needed
  • Undergraduate degree in a quantitative field; advanced study a plus
