Head of Workplace

Company Overview: Blue Current is a leading Battery Technology company known for our commitment to excellence and innovation. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Workplace to join our team.

Job Description: The Head of Workplace will be responsible for ensuring that all company facilities are in optimal condition to support our business operations. This role involves overseeing building maintenance, managing facility-related projects, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Facility Maintenance and Operations:
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and improvement of company facilities.
• Coordinate with contractors and service providers for facility services, including cleaning, security, and landscaping.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and resolve issues.
2. Project Management:
• Plan and oversee facility-related projects, including renovations and expansions.
• Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
3. Health and Safety Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Develop and implement emergency plans and procedures.
4. Budget Management:
• Prepare and manage the facilities budget.
• Monitor expenditures and make cost-effective decisions.
5. Team Management:
• Lead and supervise the facilities team.
• Provide training and development opportunities to team members.
6. Vendor Management:
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers.
• Monitor vendor performance to ensure quality services.
7. Sustainability Initiatives:
• Implement and manage sustainability programs to reduce environmental impact.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Head of Workplace, Facilities Manager or similar role.
• Strong understanding of facility management principles and practices.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and facility management software.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Ability to multitask and manage complex projects.
