Job description
We are hiring aHead Sushi Chef or Sushi Cheffor a new Japanese restaurant opening inside a hotel in the Dallas area. This is a rare opportunity to take part in launching a high-quality sushi and kaiseki concept from the ground up. Candidates with leadership experience and a background in traditional Japanese cuisine—especially kaiseki—are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead or support the opening of a new sushi-focused restaurant
• Prepare sushi and/or kaiseki-style dishes with a high level of skill and care
• Manage kitchen staff and coordinate daily operations (for Head Chef role)
• Oversee food quality, kitchen cleanliness, and inventory management
• Contribute to menu planning and service refinement in collaboration with the team
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or Head Sushi Chef
• Familiarity withkaiseki cuisineis highly valued
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage and motivate a kitchen team
• Willingness to be actively involved in the restaurant opening process
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
