Health Plan Analyst responsibilities:

● Compiling and organizing health plan data and analyzing that data to assist in delivering essential health plan information to users

● Performing data validation to ensure accuracy and clarity for the data model

● Investigating data to find patterns and trends, and perform research tasks on different health insurance topics which will help improve the product

● Utilizing different data sources for analyses and converting that data into usable information that is easy to understand.

● Developing reports and presentations and communicating analytic insights to management.

Requirements

● Minimum of B.Sc./BA in a life-science, Medical, Engineering, or in a quantitative

discipline (e.g. mathematics, statistics, epidemiology, economics)

* Bonus points: HR experience or benefits consulting experience

● Experience in the US health insurance or health benefits administration industries

● Analytical skills and a great interest in the US healthcare and insurance world

● Professional or substantive applied academic research experience with large electronic

healthcare databases - especially administrative claims data, hospital billing data, and/or

electronic health records, and clinical coding taxonomies

● Experience analyzing health policy proposals, legislation, and/or regulation

● Ability to recognize complex problems, analyze situations, and provide

suggested/implemented resolutions using data-driven methods
