Summary
About the Position: This position is located in San Antonio, Texas. The incumbent is responsible for Patient Administration (PAD) program management, strategic and operational planning, organizing, staffing, decision support, policy development, and carrying out major projects concerned with the analysis and evaluation of programs/organizational effectiveness.
This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.

- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the education requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Assisting with operation and/or policy formation in a medical organization or network; 2) ensuring compliance with governing regulations, such as Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); AND 3) reviewing legislation for impact to medical facility and patient care. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
