Summary
This National Guard position is for a HEALTH TECHNICIAN, Position Description Number NGT5910200 and is part of 114 FW. This is a Title 5, Excepted Service position.

- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
- Irregular and compensatory hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies.
Qualifications
Specialized Experience: Must have 12 months experience equivalent to the next lower grade. Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Applicants who have the 1 year of appropriate specialized experience, as indicated in the table, are not required by this standard to have general experience, education above the high school level, or any additional specialized experience to meet the minimum qualification requirements.
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities (KSAs): Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit a separate sheet(s) addressing the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) and how they relate to work experience, education or training.
- Skill in performing administrative duties in a healthcare setting that require the use of technology including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote, and Teams.
- Skill in applying an extensive body of rules based on regulations, procedures, and precedents relating to programs.
- Knowledge of information management systems and the ability to compile various special and recurring reports utilizing these systems.
- Knowledge of records management programs with the ability to maintain records, analyze records and audit data.
- Skill in identifying trends and patterns and reporting results to leadership for corrective action.

Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses. Acceptance of a Technician position over 180 days will result in suspension or termination these military incentives.
