Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, refrigeration, and mechanical repairs. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings. The technician will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure optimal performance of HVAC systems. Duties • Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning units and related equipment. • Diagnose issues with HVAC systems using schematics and mechanical knowledge. • Perform routine maintenance on air conditioning units to ensure efficiency. • Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration. • Conduct field service visits to assess and resolve customer issues. • Collaborate with property maintenance teams to address HVAC-related concerns. • Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for testing electrical components. • Execute equipment repairs and perform welding tasks as needed. • Maintain accurate records of service calls and repairs performed. Qualifications • Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC/R or related fields. • Strong understanding of HVAC design principles and plumbing systems. • Familiarity with construction practices related to HVAC installations. • Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform appliance repairs. • Experience in field service roles with a focus on customer satisfaction. • Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes. • Previous experience with boiler systems is a plus. • Valid driver's license is required for travel between job sites. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
