Job Description

HoneyBook is the leading platform for independent business owners to manage their client flow and cash flow, streamlining all of the steps needed to sell and deliver personalized contracted services. By combining tools like billing, contracts and client communication, HoneyBook helps business owners get organized so they can provide an exceptional experience at every step. HoneyBook is trusted by service providers across the U.S. and Canada who have booked more than $8 billion in business on its platform. Founded in 2013, HoneyBook is based in San Francisco and Tel Aviv and funded by Tiger Global Management, Norwest Venture Partners, Aleph, Hillsven Capital, OurCrowd, Durable Capital Partners LP, Vintage Investment Partners, Battery Ventures, Citi Ventures, Zeev Ventures and 01 Advisors.

Our award-winning culture is built on core values that drive everything we do, including putting people first. We know experience comes in many different forms, some visible on your resume, others not. No one candidate will be a 100% perfect match to our description, so if you thrive in a fast-paced, intellectually-charged environment and have similar experience to what we are looking for, we encourage you to apply.

HoneyBook’s goal is to make small business owners more successful by simplifying the mundane business management tasks that get in the way of their creative work. Our members don’t have much time to learn new software, so it is critical that our platform is easy to master. This is where you come into play. Your role is to create the content that empowers our members to work with ease. The content you create will live in the HoneyBook Help Center and Education Hub. From writing fresh content to managing existing articles, your work will help shape how we get our members up to speed so that they can spend more time doing the work they love.

Here are a few of the things you will do:

  • Write the content that powers our member-facing knowledge base
  • Own Help Center execution and contribute to how our Help Center develops
  • Effectively prioritize the creation and management of our  knowledge and help content
  • Create technical documentation and how-to articles with a lens of “best practices” to be able to effectively communicate our product’s immense value
  • Contribute to shared goals and show an increase in adoption of the help center, reduction of support tickets across key themes, and overall increase adoption of the HoneyBook product
  • Work closely with Customer Support and our Product Team to anticipate and prioritize new content
  • Partner with our Manager, Product Education and Senior Product Education Content Creator to drive Help Center strategy

Here is what is needed:

  • You have 3-4 years of experience writing customer-facing documents or equivalent. Experience writing for fintech is preferred but not required.
  • You work with a high level of customer empathy in all you do.
  • You are excellent at writing concise, easy to understand materials. You can take a complex product and make it easy to understand for our members.
  • You love creating customer facing documentation and find opportunities to improve existing content.
  • You thrive when you take a project from beginning to end with high levels of autonomy.

The good stuff:

  • Mission driven. You'll be joining more than just another startup—our members are at the heart of everything we do; in fact, we invite them to co-work in our office and collaborate with us on the product itself.
  • Impact. We move quickly and encourage every employee to push the envelope. Our best ideas come from out-of-the-box-thinking and innovation; be ready to fail fast and often!
  • Compensation: We offer a competitive salary + meaningful equity based on merit.
  • Benefits + Perks: From wellness programs to open paid time off and exceptional family leave policies, the health and happiness of our employees is foremost.
  • Provisions:  We give you the tools you need to get your job done and we provide a fully stocked kitchen and bar, happy hours, catered meals, and awesome company events.
  • Compensation: We offer a competitive salary + meaningful equity based on merit and market.
    • Salary range: $75k-$95k annually
