The Role:
As a Helpdesk support technician, you’ll work with our internal support teams and perform key functions with ticket resolution on comprehensive issues and are part of the outage/security management team. This role will help provide efficient and excellent support while maximizing both security & productivity. Our ideal candidate for this role will be someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and is motivated to provide great experiences with our team members through a variety of methods like end-user computing support, onboarding/offboarding of staff while providing support for various platforms, and carrier outages or any number of daily issues.
The Impact You'll Make:
A solid understanding and a keen interest in a wide variety of modern computing technologies, both software and hardware
2 + years of experience working in a technical support positionÂ
Strong interpersonal and communication skills within a team and client settingÂ
Excellent English skills, both written and verbal
A high level of attention to detail and a tendency for producing high-quality technical solutions that meet the needs of our clients
You MUST be able to work with the following systems and platforms. This includes the ability to consult, setup, and migrate complex systems for individuals and small businesses who use these:
Microsoft Windows 10
MacOS
Microsoft Office365
G-Suite / Google Drive
This position will have many opportunities for growth, and over time you will be exposed to and encouraged to work with a wide range of technologies and platforms. Prior experience with the following would be greatly appreciated, although this is not a requirement:
Apple MacOS 10.12+
VOIP Services / Softphones
Small business and residential networking and storage systems, including configuring Wi-Fi, DHCP, QOS, VLANs, VPNs
Android device setup
Who You Are:
Communicating with staff inquiries and technical support requests, either via phone, email, chat, or Zoom
Creating and processing service tickets, part orders and RMAs
Diagnose reported issues on company laptops and provide suggestions for resolution
Maintenance of inventory systems and stock levels of computer hardware and systems
Assistance with maintaining internal and client technical systems (eg. system updates,
backup testing, ticket system optimizations, process design, and related technical
documentation)
Provide daily reporting on Helpdesk ticket backlog
Contribute weekly to writing new or updating older Helpdesk articles
Other duties, as assigned.
The estimated compensation for this role is $58,000 to $71,000.
