The Advanced Technology Group in the Chief Technology Office is looking for an RF Design and Signal Integrity engineer as part of a larger team that addresses next generation technology needs ranging from process development to circuit design and heterogeneous packaging. This role focused on research and development projects for heterogeneous integration to support chiplets and package-level integration. The broader goal of this position is to help drive and align ADI's heterogeneous integration efforts and identify future areas of work. This will require a detailed understanding product line needs and roadmaps and taking a higher-level system view to solve problems.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Design and develop laminate, fan-out, 2.5/3D interposer-based packages
  • Simulate signal and power integrity of die-to-die interfaces
  • Support product lines with emerging chiplet integration and packaging methodologies
  • Liaison for heterogeneous integration research projects (ADI, university, externally funded)
  • Attend packaging/HI workshops/conferences and disseminate information within ADI

Minimum qualifications

  • M.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering, PhD is a plus.
  • Typically requires 2-4 years related and progressive experience
  • Solid understanding of S-parameters, T-line theory, RF networks
  • Working knowledge of heterogeneous integration and advanced packaging techniques
  • Experience with electromagnetic simulators such as EMPro, Momentum, or HFSS
  • Familiarity with design software such as Allegro Package Designer, ADS, Virtuoso
  • Excellent oral and visual presentation skills

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with signal integrity simulations of high-speed interfaces
