HetNet Project Engineer I is responsible for working with multiple teams to plan, implement, and drive processes, coordinate training and manage the relationship between CTS, the cellular equipment manufacturers, partners, subcontractors and customers to grow and extend our offered service. Tracking, reporting, and improving progress is also a vital part of this role.

This role requires in-depth knowledge of deploying end-to-end cellular grade networks through either past employment with an operator or through working with the mobile operators at a cellular equipment manufacturer or systems integrator.

Technical Hetnet Project Engineer I

Skillsets:

• The Ideal candidate will have previous experience with Design, Implementation, Commissioning, Integration and/or Optimization of carrier networks.
• Strong Radio Performance Optimization experience with Ericsson or Nokia
• Small cell experience with any OEM: Nokia, Ericsson, Corning or Commscope desired.
• Proficient with iBwave to assist Sales Engineers and Sales teams

Experience with:

• Wireless Data Collection Tools, Software and Hardware
• Small Cell / PCN OEM Platforms and Parameters
• Hetnet Software Database, OSS, and KPI monitoring and
• iBwave and other RF prediction tools
• MNO Carrier tools and terminology

Job Responsibilities:

The Technical Hetnet Project Engineer I will be responsible to support the OEM Radio Equipment, Hetnet/Small Cell, and PCN deployment for regional and national MNO projects.• Guide Small Cell implementation policies and procedures nationally within CTS• Coordinate regional and national teams to schedule/assist in Small Cell benchmark data collection, design guidelines and carrier submittal/approval, creation and assistance with commissioning documents, schedule with regional teams for integration, commissioning, troubleshooting technical and logistical issues, optimization• Understand the Hetnet technology advancement and Small Cell OEM development for current and future technologies, including 4G LTE-A, 5G NR, CBRS/LAA, etc.• Develop/distribute standardized documentation and processes to address integration, call testing, baseline walk, KPI monitoring, optimization, and reporting.• Work with National Sales and Sales Engineers to help manage project pipeline for Hetnet, PCN, and MNO national projects.• Ensure Site Tracker fields and documents are updated.• Full understanding of processes to assist internal resources (local and national SPEs) to meet the increasing demands and growth of the Hetnet/Small Cell integration and optimization projects• Provide technical support to regional and national team in terms of Hetnet/Small Cell and PCN solution selections, functionality comparison, performance analysis, etc.• Participate or support reviews and customer meetings to present Hetnet/Small Cell and PCN solutions.

Education :Bachelor of Science degree or higher preferred.
