Seize this opportunity as a High Voltage Sales Manager for Hitachi Energy's growing High Voltage unit in the UK. Hitachi Energy are the global leader in High Voltage technology delivering all critical equipment to contribute to a Net-Zero electricity network.

In this key role, you'll liaise extensively with both internal and external stake holders, and be accountable to manage sales and product positioning of Gas Insulated Switchgear, Live Tank breakers, Hybrid technology solutions and the rest of HV portfolio projects together with the account management team. You will be at the sharp end of the customer experience requiring an initiative-taking, results driven approach within a fast-paced culture where you will drive results as you implement and execute your projects from set up through to final completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer-Centric Solution approach: Understand customer needs and challenges to recommend tailored HV solutions, including Gas Insulated Switchgear, Live Tank Breakers and hybrid technologies, with a special focus on EconiQ technologies.
  • Through deep market knowledge, develop the strategy for product positioning, market plan and strategic product launch.
  • Present High Voltage solutions, identify customer pain points and prescribing the most suitable solutions.
  • Stablish a high level of customer intimacy through key account, working together with the account management team.
  • Closely collaborate with tendering and project management teams.
  • Work closely with factories, customers and our Service team to ensure an alignment strategy.
  • Making key decisions acting as main point of contact with the customer.
  • Analysis of data, creating and sharing accurate sales plans with regular updates.

Background:

  • Engineering related degree (electrical desirable but not essential).
  • Experience and understanding of High Voltage switchgear.
  • Comprehension of English language both spoken and in writing. Both fluent and accurate - able to negotiate at all levels internally and externally. Other languages are considered advantageous.
  • Flexible to travel across UK to customer sites and abroad to our manufacturing facilities as required.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Team player, who holds themselves accountable being ready to collaborate with others committed to achieve the end goal.
  • Systematic, proactive approach and efficient time management.
