Highway Maintenance Worker

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy equipment operation and a strong background in borough care and maintenance. This role is essential for ensuring that all equipment and facilities are maintained to the highest standards, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of our operations. Duties • Operate lawncare equipment including zero turn machines, loaders, and gas-powered equipment. for various maintenance tasks. • Perform paving operations and ensure proper installation of materials. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites. • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely. • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery and equipment. Skills • Proficient in equipment operation, including but not limited to gas powered landscaping equipment, power tools, and backhoes. • Experience with paving and street repair techniques and materials is preferred. • Strong understanding of Borough site operations and safety regulations. • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. • Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks as required.
