HIT Enterprise Data Architect
Job Description
Duties:
The HIT Enterprise Data Architect at Aurora Health Care Inc. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin will design and implement database systems, data models and other data architecture components required to support analytical needs. Supports the creation of a technology framework and provides technical leadership in support of company initiatives in cloud computing and automation, with a focus on designing systems and services that run on cloud platforms. Guides team to build, deliver and support data-driven applications to serve business needs. Evaluates and recommends purchases of data management technologies and grows data platform capabilities leveraging approved cloud platforms. Ensures the appropriate use of identifiable and de-identifiable patient data and compliance with data security, privacy and HIPAA requirements. Provides data modeling support to the information technology teams, supporting the expanded use of end user ad hoc query and reporting. Supports information technology and business staff on data requirements and quality assurance for reporting. Develops and maintains a data model and dictionary that defines key data elements abstracted from the production systems to support reporting and collaborates with data warehouse teams to execute against this design. Partners with the information technology database teams to establish agreed data feeds and refresh rates for data. Establishes and implements data security and privacy rules for the data warehouse. Provides data modeling support to the data warehouse teams on the development of additional views and data marts. Supports information technology and business staff on the data requirements and quality assurance required to support internal and external reporting. Supports the strategic move to an expanded use of user driven ad hoc query and reporting. Ensures the implementation of required auditing of access to Personal Health Information and other HIPAA requirements. Establishes data retention requirements for the data warehouse and implementing purge processes to remove expired data. Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S. 25% travel required to company sites located in Wisconsin and Illinois. Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or a directly related field plus five years of data architect experience planning, directing, and coordinate activities for electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis and computer programming.
The five years of experience must include five years in each of the following: 1) designing and implementing business intelligence solutions including end-to-end data architecture; 2) traditional and modern data integration technologies, including Microsoft Tech Stack, AWS, Azure Technical Stack, Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik; 3) expanding data capabilities for end user reporting; and 4) developing and maintaining data schema for enterprise data warehouse and marts.
