HLD Secondary Marketing Settlement Specialist
Job Description
In this role, you will process all aspects of the loan-delivery process including agency, service-released, service-retained, and repurchased loans. You will process and deliver loan data to agencies and investors and process month-end and quarter-end reconciliations and validations for the loan settlement and delivery processes. You will manage MERS registrations, reconciliations, and transfers.
Functions
- Review, recommend and execute policies as they relate to retail lock-in, correspondent and broker policy, approved lists, daily pricing (manage margins) and all secondary related activities.
- Manage rate sheet execution and distribution and facilitates product development related activities. Responsible for mortgage division management of agency contracts, correspondent and broker relationships and ensures booked loans are sold to agencies in a timely manner.
- Work closely the Secondary Marketing and Hedging Director managing Secondary Marketing and support associates in addition to the Hedge Management vendor.
- Ensure adherence to policies, procedures and guidelines. Prepares and distributes instructional materials including training all division associates on secondary policy and procedures.
- Review industry publications to stay abreast of industry trends and changes.
- Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations that apply to your position and keep up to date on regulation changes.
- Maintain working knowledge of our policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations that apply to your position.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in business, or equivalent experience preferred.
- 1-3 years previous Secondary Marketing experience or working within a mortgage lending environment.
- Previous mortgage experience, demonstrating the ability to manage projects within time and budget constraints.
- Possess an understanding of mortgage secondary marketing.
- Demonstrate a high level of organization, attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to complete work in a timely manner, consistently meeting strict deadlines, and to adapt in a growing and changing environment to meet business needs.
- Possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with personal computer and related software packages, including MS Office Word, Outlook.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Work involves:
- sitting
- walking
- lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Occasional travel
